Back to Nashville for the Summer School in International Survey Methods at Vanderbilt University. Over two weeks, I had an incredible experience learning about survey design, data collection, and analysis in international contexts. The instructors were leaders in their fields, and every session offered practical insights I can apply in my own research.

I was honored to be one of the eleven fellows selected for The Summer Academy, a week-long intensive workshop hosted by the School of Public Affairs at American University. One week but I learned so much. From research feedback to career advice, every session felt meaningful.

Back to Chicago for ISA… and Volunteering Too! — March 05, 2025
This was my second time visiting Chicago and staying at Palmer House. The first was for MPSA 2024, and now I had the chance to return for the International Studies Association (ISA) Annual Convention. This time, I not only presented my research with my coauthor, Dongan Tan, and received valuable feedback, but I also volunteered for the conference.

One Year, Four Trips, Endless Ideas – My Time as an Adam Smith Fellow — July 12, 2024
One year has passed, today was the last colloquium of the Adam Smith Fellowship, and I’m feeling all kinds of grateful. Over the past year, I flew from Lubbock to Virginia four times, each trip filled with rich conversations about one of my favorite topics: political economy.

Two Months in Michigan: Work, Learning, and Fun — August 02, 2023
I spent two incredible months in Michigan, balancing intense work with some much-needed fun. I am so grateful to receive funding from the Department of Political Science at TTU and the Box-Steffensmeier Scholarship from the Society for Political Methodology and ICPSR, which allowed me to participate in both sections of the ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods.
