Four days in New Orleans, a beautiful city to host a conference, and every day was packed with activity. The 2026 SPSA Annual Conference was busy, energizing, and a lot of fun.
I participated in the conference in three different roles - presenter, discussant, and panel chair - across several panels. It was a great experience to share my work, engage with thoughtful feedback, and learn from others’ research.
My schedule was full, but I still found some time to explore the city. I stayed at the conference hotel, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, which sits right next to the Mississippi River. The location made it incredibly convenient to walk along the riverfront and over to the French Quarter. Highly recommend staying there if you’re attending a conference in New Orleans.
One of the highlights, as always, was reconnecting with old friends and making new connections through the conference. SPSA never disappoints in bringing together an engaging and welcoming community. Can’t wait for SPSA 2027!
